businesses: ohio pro beef alliance (OPBA) –(www.ohioprobeef.com) OPBA was organized in 2000 as a member held cooperative of beef cattle producers located in several Southern Ohio counties. Member enterprises consist of cow-calf, purebred, and feedlot cattle. Objectives of the cooperative are to: 1) capture economies of scale through combined input purchases, 2) receive premium pricing through value-added marketing of uniform, high quality feeder calves and 3) source verify beef production units for the purpose of targeting niche and branded beef markets and be a leader in Beef Quality Assurance. |
