businesses: madison county growers association (MCPA) The Madison County Producers Association (MCPA) is a newly formed group of farmers and producers that is interested in better marketing of Madison County products to the Columbus and Springfield area markets. Members of the association produce a wide variety of products ranging from meat and eggs, fruits and vegetables, to crafts and Christmas trees. In the past these producers have worked individually to market their produce with mixed results. The association feels that they can help local producers by working together to create market opportunities that individuals cannot achieve. The objectives of the association are to: 1) organize, operate, and sustain an association of Madison County producers, 2) promote Madison County as the base of agriculture for central Ohio, and the products produced in that agricultural base and 3) help farmers better market their produce to the larger suburban markets that surround Madison County |
