MOON food cooperative services, inc

The MOON Food Cooperative Services Inc. was incorporated on May 11 2004. MOON is a nonprofit cooperative association of local producers and consumers with the mission of encouraging the development of a sustainable local food system. Our mission is to educate our community about the importance of sustainable agriculture. Our primary goal is to open a cooperatively- owned natural foods store that specializes in local and regional farm products.

The MOON Food Cooperative hopes to offer their customers a full range of grocery products at their store that were produced with acceptable practices. They will provide their local producers with a stable year-round market for their farm products. They have approximately 120 members with no employees. Their membership consists of consumers, urban and rural, and rural local farmers. The store will be open to the public and serve Southwestern Ohio and adjacent areas of Indiana.
